On the trail of old Freising breweries
In the early 19th century there were 18 private breweries in Freising. These bourgeois breweries such as Hummelbräu, Stieglbräu, Laubenbräu, Hacklbräu or Furtnerbräu are still preserved in the names of streets and houses. On the occasion of the Freisinger Volksfest, we invite you on a journey through the history of brewing. We will tell you about the historical day-to-day operations and the development of the former bourgeois breweries and pubs in the Old Town. We will also visit the Sporrerkeller, the beer cellars of the former city breweries.

Freising markets with pleasure
Accompany our city guide Schreyer Ferl on this culinary tour of the market and learn interesting stories about the development of the fish, cattle and cabbage market into today's "green weekly market". Because already in the year 996 Freising received from Emperor Otto III. the market law. In the course of time, the market has changed again and again. Experience the culinary diversity here as a feast for your senses, where your eyes, nose and palate are spoiled. Because while strolling there is not only an opportunity to chat, also with the market people, there are also all kinds of things to taste.
