On the trail of Historic Freising breweries

In addition to the two breweries "Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan" and the "Hofbrauhaus Freising", Freising had 18 private breweries in the early 19th century - in a city with 3000 inhabitants at the time. These bourgeois breweries such as Hummelbräu, Stieglbräu, Laubenbräu, Hacklbräu or Furtnerbräu are still preserved in the names of streets and houses. We will take you and visit the historic breweries with you. We will also visit a historic beer cellar where Freising beer once matured: The Sporrerkeller with its beautiful vaults is located under the Weihenstephaner Berg. During this guided tour you will learn a lot of interesting facts about beer and the art of brewing!
