On the trail of old Freising breweries

In the early 19th century there were 18 private breweries in Freising. These bourgeois breweries such as Hummelbräu, Stieglbräu, Laubenbräu, Hacklbräu or Furtnerbräu are still preserved in the names of streets and houses. On Beer Day on 25 April 2024, we invite you on a journey through the history of brewing. We will tell you about the historical day-to-day operations and the development of the former bourgeois breweries and pubs in the Old Town. We will also visit the Sporrerkeller, the beer cellars of the former city breweries.
