The Asam family - artistic genius and entrepreneurship

Immerse yourself in the rich world of Baroque colours and shapes! We will help you to decipher the mysterious pictorial language. During the tour we will visit the Asam Hall of the former Lyceum - today the theatre hall of the Asam building - as well as the interior of Freising Cathedral and the Maximilian Chapel. You will learn about the historical and artistic context in which the Asam family accomplished these great achievements. They are undisputedly among the most important representatives of Bavarian Baroque art, and their works can also be found in Bohemia, Austria, Switzerland and Baden-Württemberg.
