Guided tour of the Neustift district

Visit the former Premonstratensian monastery in the Neustift district. You will be guided through the monastery garden to the library and then to the two monastery buildings. The complex has a chequered history of use, serving at times as barracks, later as a factory and today housing the district administration office. Finally, you will visit the renovated parish church of St Peter and St Paul, one of the most beautiful rococo churches in Upper Bavaria, with frescoes by Johann Baptist Zimmermann and the high altar by Ignaz Günther.
