Traveling on nature trails
The location on the water is typical for Freising. The Isar and various streams have shaped the city for centuries. Especially in summer, locals and guests enjoy the cool paths along the Freisinger waters. But a leisurely foray along the watercourses is also extremely attractive at any other time of the year.
Accompany our city guides on a walk from the old town via the "Wörth" along the branched arm of Moosach. You pass former mills, bathhouses and the town fountain house, which was important for the drinking water supply and the electrification of the town towards the end of the 19th century. On the varied tour, learn how the waters were used by craftsmen, butchers, tanners and brewers in the past.
Please note that tour routes go through historic parts of the city which may not all be fully wheelchair-accessible. For detailed advice concerning group tours and accessibility on the tours, you can naturally contact Freising Tourist Information at any time.
